Geoff Nunn

Governance and Social Commentary

Geoff worked for 32 years as a specialist in corporate governance, board structures, organisation behaviour and board and executive remuneration.  He consulted extensively to the private sector.  Organisations include those from manufacturing, utilities, engineering, finance, insurance, automotive, resources and petroleum industries.  He worked extensively with the government sector.

Geoff has now stepped back from corporate advisory work and supports the local community through membership of the Committee of Management of Castlemaine Community House. He also sits on the Board Remuneration Committee of Amnesty International Australia as an independent member. He provides commentary on governance and social issues in Australia through this website and periodic newsletters.

 

Over the past 25 years he has specialised in working with utility based organisations and has extensive knowledge of the sector and this issues it confronts.

Geoff has worked with over 100 Boards since 1993 on issues ranging from CEO succession and performance, governance standards, board effectiveness, charter drafting, director recruitment, executive and board remuneration.

Before entering consulting in 1993, Geoff spent twenty years in a range of senior human resource and remuneration management roles with the National Australia Bank, Public Transport Corporation of Victoria and RioTinto (CRA).

Geoff holds undergraduate qualifications in Accounting, a Graduate Diploma and a Master’s Degree in Organisation Behaviour from Swinburne University.  He is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Institute of Community Directors Australia.
